Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 pack of puff pastry
  • 10 slices of bacon
  • 1 tbsp pepper, mixed
  • 10 wooden skewers

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

especially a hit at parties or children’s birthdays

I always make the Bacon Twisters on a pizza stone because the wow factor is greater that way. Of course, you can also make them in the oven. Cut the puff pastry into strips about 3 cm wide and fold them in half lengthwise. Fold the bacon slices in half as well and place a slice of bacon on each strip of puff pastry. Now, depending on your mood, skewer the top or bottom of the puff pastry onto a wooden skewer and wrap it tightly around the skewer. If you like, you can sprinkle some of the colored pepper over everything. This is a tricky task with children, as not all children like it. Place all the skewers on the preheated pizza stone and bake for 30-45 minutes at 130-140°C. As mentioned, this also works great in the oven.
