Vegan Easter Lamb: This is what you need

If you decide to bake a vegan Easter lamb for Easter, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 200 grams of wheat or spelled flour
  • 180 milliliters oat or soy milk
  • 90 grams of sugar
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 15 grams of cornstarch
  • 70 milliliters of sunflower oil
  • powdered sugar

How to bake the delicious Easter biscuits

When you have all the ingredients together, you can start preparing the Easter lamb:

  1. First, put all the dry ingredients in a bowl and mix them with a whisk.
  2. Then add your plant-based milk and oil and stir in the two liquid ingredients.
  3. After that, prepare your baking pan. To do this, grease both halves with vegan margarine or sunflower oil and flour them well. Then join the halves together.
  4. Now fill the mold with the finished dough. Make sure you only fill the mold to about 3-4 centimeters below the rim, as the dough will still rise in the oven.
  5. Then place the filled baking tin on the lowest shelf in the oven at 175 °C for about 40 minutes.
  6. Then take the Easter lamb out of the oven and wait until it has completely cooled down. This takes about an hour.
  7. Now use a knife to remove the excess dough from the bottom of the lamb so that it becomes straight and the lamb stands up well. Then you can open the mold and take out the finished Easter lamb and dust it with powdered sugar.
