Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g apple
  • 400 ml apple juice
  • 500 g gelling sugar 2:1
  • 100 g almonds
  • 100 g sultanas
  • 1 vanilla pod(s)

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Roast the almonds without fat, let them cool, and then chop them. Peel and core the apples, then cut them into small cubes. Bring the apple juice, apples, sultanas, and preserving sugar to a boil and simmer for 5-10 minutes. Scrape the seeds from the vanilla pod and cut the pod into 1-2 cm pieces. Briefly simmer both seeds and the almonds in the jam. Immediately pour into hot, rinsed jars with screw caps and seal tightly. Turn upside down and let stand for 5 minutes.
