Baked apple rings

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 3 eggs
  • 180 g flour
  • 200 ml milk
  • 20 g sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 4 large apples
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • Flour
  • 500 g coconut oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Combine the eggs, flour, sugar, salt, and milk to form a batter. Peel the apples, core them, and slice them into 0.5–1 cm thick rings. Heat the fat in a deep frying pan or saucepan. Coat the apple rings in flour, dip them in the batter, and fry in the hot fat until golden brown. Remove from the pan and drain on kitchen paper. Mix the sugar and cinnamon together and toss the apple slices in the flour once before serving.
