Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 m.-large cauliflower
- 750 g jacket potatoes, approx.
- 200 g sweet cream
- 4 eggs
- ½ bunch parsley
- 150 g grated cheese (Gouda, Edam or according to taste)
- 200 g cooked ham (cut into small cubes)
- salt and pepper

Delicious casserole
Boil the potatoes for about 25 minutes and peel them. Leave the cauliflower whole, wash it, and boil it in a little salted water for 15 minutes. Then drain it in a sieve. Beat the eggs until frothy, add the cream, chopped parsley, and grated cheese. Season the mixture well to taste. Grease a round baking dish, place the cauliflower in the center, and arrange the sliced potatoes around the cauliflower (filling the space between the cauliflower and the dish). Season the potatoes with salt and pepper. Then spread the egg and cream mixture evenly over the cauliflower and potatoes. Finally, sprinkle the diced cooked ham over everything and place it in the oven (for a ceramic dish, bake in a cold oven at 220 degrees Celsius for 45 minutes; for a metal dish, bake in a preheated oven for just 30 minutes). It looks very pretty and tastes delicious for both adults and children.
