Baked cauliflower slices

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 large cauliflower
  • Salt
  • 100 g wholemeal breadcrumbs or breadcrumbs
  • 60 g hazelnuts, ground
  • 50 g butter
  • 1 bunch of parsley
  • 1 bunch of basil
  • 200 g sour cream
  • 200 g sour cream
  • 150 g cheese (Gouda), grated
  • Pepper, freshly ground
  • Oil for the tray

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Clean and wash the cauliflower, and cut a cross-shaped incision into the bottom of the stalk. Cook the cauliflower in boiling salted water for about 15 minutes until al dente. Meanwhile, toast the breadcrumbs with the grated nuts in butter and let cool. Wash the herbs and chop very finely. Mix with the sour cream, cheese, and breadcrumbs. Season the mixture with salt and pepper. Cut the cauliflower into 2-3 cm thick slices, place on a baking sheet, and spread with the cheese mixture. Grill under the broiler for about 5 minutes until the crust is nicely browned. Or bake in a preheated oven at 220°C (200°C fan oven) on the top rack for about 15 minutes.
