Baked chicken liver

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 300 g chicken liver(s)
  • 1 large egg(s)
  • Cream, a few drops
  • some breadcrumbs for coating
  • some flour, for breading
  • some salt and pepper
  • ½ liter oil, for frying
  • 150 ml sour cream
  • 1 large egg(s), boiled, finely chopped
  • 50 g cucumber(s), (pickles), finely chopped
  • 1 small onion(s), finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp chives, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp parsley, finely chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Season the liver pieces lightly with salt and pepper. Whisk together the eggs and cream. Coat the liver pieces first in flour, then in the egg and breadcrumbs. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the breaded liver pieces until they are golden brown. For the sauce, mix the sour cream, pickles, onions, the boiled egg, and the herbs, and season with salt and pepper. Place the liver pieces on a paper towel after frying to absorb the fat. Serve on two plates and drizzle with a little sauce.
