Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 4 pork chops
- 1 bag of cheese, grated
- 200 ml whipped cream
- 2 tbsp, levelled sugar
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 medium-sized onion(s), chopped
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 pinch of cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp mustard
- ½ tsp paprika powder
- 1 pinch of chili powder
- ¾ cup tomato ketchup
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup water
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes
Mix the two sauces separately. It’s best not to season them individually, but rather together. Sear the chops in a pan and then place them in a sufficiently large baking dish. Spread one sauce over the meat. If the chops are on top of each other, add a little sauce between them. Then add the second sauce to the baking dish; stirring is not necessary. If more sauce is needed, it can simply be diluted with a little water beforehand. Bake in the oven at 200°C for around 60 minutes. After around 45 minutes, the cheese can be added to the chops. You don’t necessarily need to use aluminum foil to cover them, but it should be removed as soon as the cheese comes into play so that it can brown slightly.
