Baked fruit casserole

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 450 g mixed fruit, e.g. nectarines, plums, pears, apples or rhubarb
  • 80 g sugar
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp margarine, for the mold
  • 100 g butter or margarine
  • 80 g sugar
  • 175 g flour

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Wash the fruit. Halve the nectarines and plums and remove the stones. Peel and quarter the pears or apples, then core them. Then dice them. Cut the leaves off the rhubarb and wash the rhubarb stalk thoroughly and cut into small pieces. Using a pastry brush, grease the baking dish with the margarine and preheat the oven to 175°C. Place the fruit in the baking dish and smooth it down with a spoon. In a cup, mix the sugar and lemon juice and pour over the fruit. Cut the butter/margarine into small pieces and place in a bowl. Add the sugar and flour. Knead the mixture until crumbles form, then spread them over the fruit. Place the baking dish in the oven for about 30 minutes, or until the crumbles are golden brown.
