Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g Kritharaki (rice-shaped noodles)
  • 400 g chicken or gyros
  • 2 tbsp olive oil for frying
  • handful of olives
  • 1 small bell pepper(s)
  • 1 tomato(s)
  • 200 ml water
  • some vegetable stock powder
  • possibly gyros seasoning
  • oregano
  • Thyme
  • Paprika powder
  • salt and pepper
  • 200 g sour cream
  • 200 g cheese, grated or feta cheese
  • 200 ml water

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Fry the finely chopped chicken or gyro in a little olive oil in a pan. Meanwhile, halve the olives and finely chop the bell peppers and tomatoes. In a mug, mix the water with the vegetable stock powder. Season the meat with gyro seasoning, paprika, salt, pepper, oregano, and thyme. Add the olives, tomatoes, and bell peppers to the meat and fry briefly. Deglaze with the stock. Add the sour cream and season to taste, if necessary. Preheat the oven to 200°C (top/bottom heat). Place the pasta and the contents of the pan in a baking dish and sprinkle with the cheese. Bake in the preheated oven on the middle rack for about 15 minutes. Per serving: about 350 kcal.
