Baked meat toast

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 200 g beef, boneless
  • 8 slices of cheese (e.g. Emmental)
  • 8 slices of toast
  • 1 pinch(s) of salt and pepper
  • margarine
  • possibly ketchup

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

delicious snack for in between

Cut the meat into very small pieces (even smaller than schnitzel), season with salt and pepper, and fry briefly in a pan with a little heated oil. Toast the slices of bread and spread them lightly with margarine (or ketchup if you like). Place a slice of cheese on each slice and spread the fried meat evenly on every other slice. Fold the slices together so the meat is in the middle. Heat the whole thing in a preheated oven at 200°C or in the microwave at 600 watts until the cheese has melted. Let cool slightly and serve.
