Baked paprika schnitzel

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 pork schnitzels
  • 1 bell pepper(s)
  • 250 ml milk
  • 200 g cream cheese, with chives
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Preheat the oven to 200°C (top and bottom heat). Pound the schnitzels not too thinly, season with salt and pepper, and sear well on both sides. Then arrange them in a small casserole dish (they can also be stacked slightly on top of each other). Bring the milk to a boil in the frying pan, add the cheese, and melt over medium heat, stirring frequently. In the meantime, slice the bell pepper and arrange them on top of the schnitzels. Season the cheese milk with salt and pepper and pour over the schnitzels. Place the whole thing in the oven for about 30 minutes, by which time the milk should have reduced slightly and be lightly browned. Serve with basmati rice or pasta. Turkey schnitzels can also be used as an alternative to pork schnitzels.
