Baked pasta and minced meat casserole

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • 500 g pasta (penne)
  • 200 g cooked ham, diced
  • 1 jar mushrooms
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 400 g whipped cream
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 250 ml red wine, dry
  • 2 packs of mozzarella
  • 200 g Emmental cheese, grated
  • oil
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

Peel and dice the onions and garlic, then sauté in hot oil until translucent. Add the ham cubes and sauté briefly. Add the minced meat and season with salt and pepper to taste. Sear until crispy. Add the mushrooms. Deglaze the mixture with red wine, then add the tomato paste. Mix well. Top with cream. Cook the pasta until al dente and transfer to a large baking dish. Pour the sauce over the pasta. Slice the mozzarella and top the casserole with it. Sprinkle with grated Emmental cheese. Bake in the oven on the middle rack at 180°C for 30 to 40 minutes. Serve with a green salad.
