Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 kg pumpkin(s), “Butternut”
- 12 slice(s) ham (Prosciutto di Parma or Serrano)
- 8 garlic cloves
- 1 cup of Cremefine for cooking
- 1 cup cream
- 150 g Parmesan, grated
- ½ chili pepper(s)
- olive oil
- salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes
with proscuitto, garlic parmesan and chili
Peel the pumpkin, remove the seeds, and cut into approximately 12 wedges. Season each pumpkin wedge generously with salt, wrap it in a slice of prosciutto, and arrange it in a greased baking dish. Peel and halve the garlic cloves, and scatter them over the pumpkin. Depending on your taste, deseed the chili pepper, slice it into rings, and scatter it over the pumpkin as well. Mix the Cremefine and cream, season with salt and pepper, and fold in the grated Parmesan cheese. I spread the Parmesan mixture over the pumpkin after about 20 minutes of baking. Total baking time at 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) is approximately 40-45 minutes. Other: We serve the baked pumpkin with grilled chicken fillet. The 4 servings are considered side dish portions.
