Baked tomatoes with pesto

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 15 m.-large tomato(s)
  • some basil pesto

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

vegetarian, simple

Wash the tomatoes, halve them, place them in a small baking dish (cut-side up), and top each with a small dollop of pesto. Then place them in a preheated oven at 150°C (convection oven) for 10-15 minutes. Alternatively, you can also grill the tomatoes for a few minutes. They’re a great side dish for meat or fish dishes.
