Hunter's schnitzel with pasta and tomato sauce

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 4 slice(s) of hunting sausage, approx. 1 cm thick
  • Flour
  • 1 egg(s), beaten
  • breadcrumbs
  • Oil for frying
  • 100 g butter
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 150 ml water
  • 250 g ketchup
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • salt and pepper
  • 250 g pasta, e.g. spirelli

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

GDR recipe

Coat the sausage slices first in flour, then in egg, then in breadcrumbs. Heat the oil in a pan and fry until golden brown. For the sauce, melt the butter and stir in the tomato paste until evenly browned. Then add the flour while stirring. Then add the water, then the ketchup, while stirring. Season the sauce with sugar, salt, and pepper. Meanwhile, cook the pasta according to the package instructions and serve everything together.
