Baked turkey schnitzel

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 600 g turkey meat
  • 500 g mushrooms
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 200 g cream
  • 150 g cream cheese with Provençal herbs
  • 500 g broccoli
  • 100 g Gouda, medium-aged, grated
  • Spice mix for meat

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Wash the meat, pat dry, and slice. Trim, wash, and slice the mushrooms. Peel and dice the onion. Season the meat with meat seasoning, brown in butter, and remove from the pan. Brown the onions and mushrooms in the frying fat, deglaze with cream, and bring to a boil. Melt the cream cheese in the sauce while stirring. Let it reduce slightly. Trim and wash the broccoli, and cut it into florets. Cook in boiling salted water for about 5 minutes. Drain. Then place the meat in a greased dish and layer with the broccoli. Finally, pour the onion and mushroom sauce over it. Sprinkle with the cheese. Bake in the oven at 200°C (top/bottom heat) until golden brown. Serve with baguette.
