Ingredients
Spices:
- 0,5 dice Yeast
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 350 g Wheat flour
- 200 g Spelt flour
- 230 ml Water warm
- 1 tsp Honey liquid
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 pinch Cinammon
- 1 pinch Chili powder
To sprinkle:
- 2 tbsp Sesame seeds
Instructions
- Melt the butter in a saucepan and let it cool down. Mix both types of flour and place in a mixing bowl. Make a well, crumble the yeast in it, mix it with 50 ml of warm water and sugar, leave to rest for approx. 5 minutes.
- Mix the remaining water, melted butter, honey and spices. Add to the flour mixture. Knead everything well until the dough comes off the edge. Cover and let rest in a warm place for about an hour until the dough has doubled in volume.
- Divide the dough and form two long, flat loaves of bread on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Cover and let rest for another hour in a warm place.
- Approx. Preheat the oven to 210 degrees (top and bottom heat) 15 minutes before the end of the resting time. Brush the bread with a little warm water and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake in the oven for about 30-35 minutes, until the breads are lightly browned.
- Let cool completely on a wire rack. Either cut open immediately and serve or freeze. I always like to bake in advance and freeze some of it. So I always have freshly baked bread for every occasion in the house :-).
