Ingredients

For painting:

  • 0,5 Red peppers
  • 2 Spring onions
  • 2 Discs Gyros roast cold cuts, alternatively Kasseler cold cuts
  • 50 g Crumbled feta cheese
  • 2 tbsp Cream cheese chilli peppers
  • 1 tsp Black cumin
  • 2 tsp 8-herb mixture frozen
  • 0,5 tsp Red chilli flakes
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 pinch Black pepper from the mill
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • 2 tbsp Water

Aside from that:

  • Parchment paper

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 200 degrees (top and bottom heat). Wash and clean the peppers and spring onions. Cut the bell pepper into small cubes and the spring onions into thin rings. Dice the Giros-Gyros-cold cuts. Mix the peppers, spring onions, cold cuts, feta cheese, cream cheese, black cumin and the herb mixture together. Season to taste with the spices.
  • Whisk the egg yolks with the water. Spread the cheese mixture diagonally on one half of the puff pastry so that the pockets can be folded together to form a triangle. Leave about 5 mm free from the edge. Press the puff pastry firmly together with a fork. Brush the puff pastry pockets all around with the egg yolk.
  • Bake in the oven for about 20-25 minutes, let cool down briefly and serve. A fresh (leaf) salad of your choice goes well with it. Have fun baking :-).
