Baking: Orange Gingerbread

- 375 g Flour
- 50 g Ground almonds
- 1 tbsp Cocoa powder
- 1 tsp Christmas spice … RZ in my KB
- 200 g Honey liquid
- 100 g Syrup
- 75 g Orange syrup … see recipe orange peel
- 100 g Orange peel … RZ in my KB
- 2 tbsp Water
- 8 g Deer horn salt
- 200 g Chocolate cake icing
- Orange flavor oil
- 10 g Coconut oil
- 1 pinch Ground orange peel
- Mix the flour, almonds, cocoa and Christmas spices. Add honey, both syrups and orange peel.
- Dissolve deer horn salt in water and add to the other ingredients. Mix everything together.
- Now place the dough on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Smooth with wet hands.
- Bake in an oven preheated to 180 ° C for about 20-25 minutes.
- Melt the cake glaze in a hot water bath and stir in the orange aroma and coconut oil, then spread it over the cooled cake. Scatter the orange peel over the top.
- TIP 6: For a large baking sheet (approx. 30×40) increase the number of people to 4.
