  • 4 Eggs
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 200 ml Oil
  • 200 ml Yogurt 10% fat
  • 150 g Pouring spelled
  • 250 g Spelled flour type 630
  • 1 packet Baking powder
  • 1 tsp Grated orange peel

* for the syrup

  • 1 liter Water
  • 600 g Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp Orange blossom water
  1. First prepare the syrup. To do this, put water and sugar in a saucepan, bring to the boil and cook for 5-6 minutes. Then switch off the stove, add lemon juice and orange blossom water, leave the pot on the stove for a few minutes, then remove it and let the syrup cool down.
  2. For the dough, beat the eggs and sugar until frothy. Then stir in all the other ingredients.
  3. Spread the dough on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake in an oven preheated to 180 ° C for about 25-30 minutes until golden.
  4. Take it out of the oven and immediately pour the syrup over it. (Don’t be alarmed, first the cake drowns in the syrup, but this is completely absorbed.)
  5. Let cool down completely, then cut into pieces.
