Baking: Wheat Sourdough Bread

  • 450 g Wheat flour
  • 50 g Whole wheat flour
  • 15 g Sourdough powder
  • 0,5 tbsp Sugar
  • 0,75 tbsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 260 ml Lukewarm water
  • 0,5 piece Yeast cubes
  1. Mix both flours with the other dry ingredients.
  2. Dissolve the yeast in water and add it together with the oil. Knead everything together thoroughly.
  3. Cover and let rise in a warm place for about 30-40 minutes until the volume has about doubled.
  4. Then knead again and shape into a loaf. Place this on a baking sheet.
  5. Let rise for another 30-40 minutes.
  6. Now scratch the surface several times with a sharp knife. Then brush or spray with plenty of water.
  7. Place in the oven preheated to 240 ° C (2 runners from below), then switch it back to 200 ° C and bake the bread for about 40-45 minutes.
