Balsamic Onions

The perfect balsamic onions recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 500 g Shallot
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 4 tbsp Olive oil
  • 8 tbsp Balsamic vinegar
  • 4 Branches Thyme
  • Salt pepper
  1. Peel the shallots and cut in half lengthways. Heat the liquid honey and olive oil in a non-stick pan, add the shallots, season with salt, pepper and thyme and fry for about 2 minutes at a medium temperature. Stir every now and then. Deglaze the shallots with the balsamic vinegar and let them steep for another 15 minutes on the lowest setting, stirring occasionally.
