Salsiccia with Mashed Potatoes and Olive Oil and Balsamic Onions

The perfect salsiccia with mashed potatoes and olive oil and balsamic onions recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 2 Salsiccia Mettwurst
  • 2 size Floury potatoes
  • 2 size Onions
  • 2 El Butter
  • 2 El Balsamic vinegar old
  • 1 tbsp Sugar brown
  • 1 El Clarified butter
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 shot Noilly Prat
  • Nutmeg
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  1. Boil the potatoes with salt until soft.
  2. In the meantime, cut the onions into slices. Add the clarified butter with the sugar to the pan and let it caramelize. Now add the onions and deglaze with the wine
  3. Add some water to the seasoning and cook covered until soft. Now add the balsamic vinegar and briefly sauté a tablespoon of butter and season to taste.
  4. Drain the potatoes, let them evaporate briefly and mash them, add a tablespoon of soft butter, nutmeg, salt, pepper and enough olive oil until the desired consistency is achieved.
  5. Place the salsiccia on the grill and cook through. Season everything again to taste and serve.
