Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g chicken breast fillet(s)
  • 300 g Chinese cabbage
  • 250 g Chinese egg noodles
  • 150 g leek
  • 150 g peas, frozen
  • 75 g soy sprouts
  • 2 onions
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 6 tbsp soy sauce
  • 5 tbsp oil

Wash the chicken breast fillet, pat dry, and cut into thin strips. Wash the Chinese cabbage and cut into thin strips. Cook the noodles according to the package instructions until al dente, then drain. Wash the leek and cut into rings. Peel and finely chop the onions and garlic. Heat the oil in a wok or large frying pan and brown the chicken thoroughly. Add the onions and garlic and fry for 2 minutes. Add the remaining vegetables and cook until al dente, stirring. Add the noodles and fry for a few minutes. Season with soy sauce and serve immediately. By the way: “Bami goreng” simply translates as “fried noodles.”
