Banana and Almond Cake

The perfect banana and almond cake recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 250 g Soft butter
  • 250 g Sugar
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 5 Free range eggs
  • 300 g Flour
  • 1 packet Baking powder
  • 150 g Ground almonds
  • 3 Bananas
  • Milk 3.8
  • Powdered sugar
  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, sugar and vanilla sugar until creamy. Gradually stir in the eggs. Mash the bananas with a little milk and stir in together with the ground almonds. Mix the flour with the baking powder and stir in two portions. Pour the dough into the prepared form and smooth it out,
  2. Place the cake in the oven preheated to 180 degrees and bake for about 55 – 60 minutes. (Chopsticks sample) Now take the cake out of the oven and let it cool down in the tin for 30 minutes. Now turn the cooled cake out onto a cake plate and let it cool down. Before serving, sprinkle the cake with powdered sugar.
