Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 170 g butter
- 170 g brown sugar
- 3 banana(s), ripe
- 4 eggs
- 6 tbsp sour cream
- some flavoring (vanilla flavor)
- 2 tbsp poppy seeds, ground
- 340 g flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 6 tbsp sugar for the egg whites
- 1 large lemon(s), untreated, juice and zest
- powdered sugar
- Fat for the mold
Instructions

delicious English banana cake
Beat the butter and sugar until fluffy. Cut the bananas into small pieces and stir into the butter and sugar mixture until they are no longer visible. Add the egg yolks, sour cream, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Mix the baking powder with the flour and sift. Then fold into the batter. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt. Add the sugar and beat until stiff peaks form. Loosely fold the egg whites into the batter. Grease a 26 cm springform pan and line the bottom with greaseproof paper. Pour in the batter and bake at 160°C for about 1 hour. Mix the lemon zest and lemon juice in a bowl. Stir in the icing sugar until a thick, paste-like mixture has formed. Pour over the (lukewarm) cake and let cool.
