Banana-Cocoa Sticks

Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 1 roll of topping dough
  • 1 banana(s), very ripe
  • 2 tsp cocoa powder
  • some vanilla, dried and ground
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 tbsp milk

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Baby led weaning (BLW) without sugar, only with the sweetness of fruit – from about 9 months, tastes good for the whole family

Preheat the oven to 170°C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Peel the banana and mash it with a fork. Mix the cocoa powder into the banana. Spread the puff pastry out, halve it lengthwise, and cut each half into 6 equal pieces. Crack the egg and separate the egg white and yolk. Brush all cut edges with egg white. Lightly sprinkle the puff pastry with vanilla. Spread the banana-cocoa mixture lengthwise over each piece. Roll up the puff pastry pieces and place them on the baking sheet, leaving space between them and with the cut edge facing down. Press the short ends of the rolls together with a fork. Mix the egg yolk with the milk and brush the sticks with it. Bake the sticks on the middle rack for about 10-15 minutes.
