Banana Oatmeal

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 50 g oat flakes, fine
  • 200 ml water
  • 1 banana(s)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • Vanilla

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

fruity porridge, without milk

First, put the oat flakes in a pot and pour over the water. Then heat the mixture and bring to a boil briefly, stirring frequently to prevent sticking. Then simmer on medium heat for 5-10 minutes. If the mixture becomes too thick, add a little more water or, alternatively, soy milk. While the mixture is simmering, mash the banana with a fork and fold it in with the cinnamon. I always use ripe bananas because of their natural sweetness, which are already browning on the outside. If that’s not sweet enough for you, you can add a little more honey. For flavor, I always add a bit of vanilla from a vanilla grinder. Serve in a bowl and enjoy warm. This recipe also works great with a variety of fruits as a topping.
