Banana pudding

Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 200 g sugar
  • 125 g flour
  • 1 sachet of yeast (dry yeast)
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 10 bananas
  • 100 g margarine
  • 3 eggs
  • 20 cl milk
  • Butter for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

British specialty

Place 150g of sugar, the flour, and the yeast in a bowl and mix with a spatula. Mix the remaining 50g of sugar with the cinnamon. Grease the baking dish well with butter using your fingers. Pour half of the flour and sugar mixture into the dish. Peel the bananas and cut them into three strips. Place 15 banana strips on the dish. Spread the remaining flour and sugar mixture on the bananas. Cover with the remaining 15 banana strips and spread the margarine in flakes on top. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Mix the milk and eggs in the bowl and pour over the bananas. Place on the lower rack of the oven and bake at level 6 (180°C) for 50-60 minutes. Bake until golden brown and serve immediately on plates.
