Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 cup brown rice (medium grain)
  • 2 cup(s) water, boiling
  • 2 bananas, very ripe
  • Milk
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch, heaped, (Mondamin)
  • 1 pinch vanilla powder (bourbon)
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch(s) of cane sugar
  • 2 tsp butter

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Cook the brown rice in water for about 40 minutes. Place the bananas in a 1-liter measuring jug, along with the Mondamin, vanilla powder, salt, sugar, and milk. Blend everything together to make about 0.5 liters, then add more milk until the bowl is about three-quarters full. Once the rice is cooked, add the banana milk mixture and stir. Increase the heat to medium and simmer for about one to two minutes, stirring constantly. Be careful, it will bubble a lot. Serve with half a teaspoon of butter in the middle of the soup. Makes 2 deep bowls.
