Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 100 ml whiskey
  • 75 ml tomato ketchup, simpler
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp vinegar (sherry vinegar)
  • 1 tsp, leveled mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp, levelled cumin, (whole)
  • ½ tsp sautéed coriander
  • 2 large garlic cloves (finely chopped)
  • 1 small red chili pepper(s) (pitted and finely chopped)
  • 1 tbsp, leveled maple syrup
  • 1 tsp, leveled smoked salt
  • some pepper, black (freshly ground)

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Finely grind the mustard seeds, cumin, and coriander seeds. Peel and finely chop the garlic, deseed and finely chop the chili pepper. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and whisk well. Brush the marinade onto the meat or pour it over the meat. Marinate small pieces of meat (skewers, wings, chicken drumsticks, etc.) for 2-6 hours. Large pieces can be marinated overnight.
