Basic recipe for mushrooms

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g mushrooms
  • 150 g sour cream
  • 1 tbsp mustard, hot
  • 1 tsp, leveled nutmeg

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

quick and easy

Place the sour cream and mustard in a pot or pan (preferably coated). Halve the mushrooms, depending on their size, or cut them into 4-6 not-too-small pieces. This is important, because otherwise they will release too much water, and they should still have a bit of a bite. Once the sour cream is warm, add the mushrooms and simmer for 3-5 minutes with the lid on and the heat reduced. Stir in the nutmeg at the end. Notes: This is a basic recipe that you can leave as is. When it comes to spices and herbs, there are no limits to your imagination and the combination possibilities. Suitable herbs include coriander, parsley, chives, ground elder, and lemon balm. Suitable spices include curry, paprika, pepper, chili, cumin, turmeric, allspice, and cloves.
