Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 bunch of basil
  • 100 g pine nuts
  • 70 g Parmesan cheese, in one piece
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 125 ml olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Roast the pine nuts in a pan without adding any fat, then let them cool slightly. Place the pine nuts, torn basil leaves, and garlic cloves in a food processor (or a tall bowl with an immersion blender) and process until a green paste forms. Cut the Parmesan cheese into small pieces, add it to the paste, and gradually blend with the oil until a paste forms. Season with salt, if desired. If you want to store the pesto for a longer period, cover it in a jar with a layer of olive oil.
