Basil Tomato Sauce
The perfect basil tomato sauce recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 500 g Tortiglioni
- 400 g Cooked ham
- 250 g Mascapone
- 800 g Chunky tomatoes
- 1000 ml Sieved tomatos
- 1 g Onion
- 1 toe Fresh garlic
- 80 g Chopped basil
- 400 g Grated Emmental
- 400 g Mozzarella
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Black pepper from the mill
- Boil the pasta until al dente, do not rinse under cold water
- Cut ham and onion into cubes
- Finely hook the garlic
- Put the oil in a saucepan and sauté the chopped onion, ham and the chopped garlic. Now add the chunky tomatoes, the strained tomatoes, the hooked basil and the mascarpone, stir well. Season with salt and pepper and simmer for about 30 minutes.
- Put the pasta in a baking dish and pour the finished tomato sauce over it
- Cut the mozzarella into slices and place on top of the pasta mixture
