Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 60 g butter
- 60 g sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 300 g cream cheese, drained
- 1 tsp lemon zest, grated
- 100 g almond(s), chopped
- 500 g flour (405)
- 4 tsp, leveled baking powder
- ⅛ liter milk, (or a little more)
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes
for a 30 x 11 cm loaf pan
Cream the butter until fluffy. Gradually stir in the sugar, salt, quark, and lemon zest. Combine the flour and baking powder, sift, and mix with the milk. Butter a loaf pan (or line it with baking paper) and pour in the batter. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) for about 60 minutes using conventional heat. TIP: I used a little less sugar and added raisins to the batter instead, and used a little more milk (about 200 ml).
