BBQ sauce from the boss

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1,000 ml ketchup
  • 150 ml apple cider vinegar
  • 120 ml Worcestershire sauce
  • 90 g sugar, brown
  • 4 tbsp beet syrup
  • 4 tbsp mustard
  • 3 tbsp Tabasco Chipotle
  • 2 tbsp spice mix (barbecue spice mix – recipe can be found in my profile)
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 100 ml Cola or Spezi

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Fruity-sweet barbecue sauce with a slight spiciness

Makes approx. 1.4 liters. Peel the onion and garlic and chop both very finely. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a slow boil. Simmer the sauce for about 30 minutes, until it reaches a thick consistency. Transfer to a clean container and let cool. The sauce can be refrigerated for several months. The ingredients can be adjusted to suit your taste.
