Spread the love

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 kg beans, green
  • Salt
  • 1 stalk savory, fresh
  • 1 kg potatoes
  • ½ liter meat broth
  • 500 g apples, sour
  • 300 g smoked pork
  • some butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Trim the beans, cut diagonally into pieces or diamonds, and boil them in well-salted water with the savory stalks for 5 minutes. Pick off the savory leaves first and set them aside. Peel the potatoes, cut them into centimeter-sized cubes, and cook them in the meat broth until tender. Meanwhile, peel the apples, quarter them, remove the cores, and slice the quarters. After about 10 minutes of cooking, add them to the potatoes and mix. Only when the potato cubes are soft, add the beans. Then roughly chop the savory and stir it into the pot with the butter. Cut the smoked pork into small cubes and stir it into the pot. Simmer everything together for 5 minutes. Serve in soup bowls.
