Beans in bacon sauce

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 750 g beans, green or yellow
  • salt water
  • 65 g bacon, diced
  • 40 g flour
  • ⅛ liter milk
  • ¼ liter of water
  • savory
  • Salt
  • Parsley

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

GDR recipe, quick and delicious

Fry the diced bacon. Sprinkle the flour over it and slowly add the milk to create a roux. Meanwhile, cook the prepared beans in salted water with savory until al dente. Then add the beans to the bacon sauce and top up with the bean cooking water, if desired. Sprinkle with fresh savory and parsley. Serve with fresh potatoes and smoked pork for a delicious home-cooked meal.
