Beef Bone Broth

The perfect beef bone broth recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1,5 kg Beef bones [with meat]
  • 2 St Clove of garlic [peeled and crushed]
  • 6 St Bay leaf
  • 10 St Clove
  • 2 St Onion [peeled and halved]
  • 1 St Parsley root [peeled and sliced]
  • 0,25 St Celery bulb [peeled and quartered]
  • 3 St Carrot [peeled and sliced]
  • 1 bunch Spring onions [cleaned and sliced]
  • 1 St Broccoli handle [chopped up]
  • 10 St Peppercorns [crushed]
  • 6 tsp Salt
  • 20 g Chopped ginger
  • 1 tbsp Dried thyme
  • 50 ml Walnut oil
  • 3 l Water

preparation

  1. Prepare vegetables and spices as indicated in the list of ingredients

  1. Roast the onion cut surfaces in a large saucepan without oil
  1. add oil; add the beef bones and roast them briefly on all sides
  1. Deglaze with water
  1. Add the prepared spices and vegetables
  1. Fill up with water until everything is covered
  1. Bring to the boil and then simmer for 4 hours (skim off any foam that occurs as you wish) the foam consists of the dissolved protein from the meat bones and clouds the broth
  1. pass through sieve and / or kitchen towel
