Beef goulash with pumpkin

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g beef goulash
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 350 g onion(s) (vegetable onion)
  • 375 ml meat broth
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • 7 tbsp vinegar
  • Sugar
  • 75 g raisins
  • 500 g pumpkin flesh, fresh

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Rinse the meat under running water and pat dry. Heat the oil in a casserole dish and fry the goulash in batches. Peel and dice the onions. Add to the goulash and fry briefly. Deglaze with the stock. Add salt, pepper, vinegar, and sugar. Wash the raisins and add them. Cover and simmer for 1 hour. Meanwhile, peel the pumpkin, remove the seeds, and wash and dice the flesh. Once cooked, add the pumpkin cubes to the goulash and cook for another 10 minutes. Season the goulash with sweet and sour sauce. Serve with boiled potatoes.
