Beef roulades in Tupperware Ultraplus

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 8 beef roulades, thinly sliced
  • 4 m.-sized onion(s)
  • some mustard
  • 8 gherkins, from the jar (or small pickled gherkins)
  • 100 g bacon, streaky, diced
  • Water
  • some sauce thickener
  • some salt
  • some pepper
  • possibly paprika powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

works without frying beforehand

Pat the meat slices dry with kitchen paper and sprinkle with salt, pepper, and paprika, if desired. Then spread with a little mustard. Top each slice with some diced onions, a small gherkin cut into thin slices, and a few cubes of bacon. Roll up the slices and secure them with a toothpick. If necessary, you can do without, as the slices simply go into the Tupperware UltraPlus pot and are not fried again! Once the roulades have been placed in the Tupperware Ultra, fill with water until the roulades are 2/3 full. Then put the lid on the pot and place it in the oven (on the middle rack), which has been preheated to 180 degrees Celsius. Caution! Please do not turn on the broiler, as this would damage the pot! The roulades now need to braise for about 50 minutes with the lid closed. This has the advantage of keeping the oven clean and the meat nice and tender. The roulades will still brown. I tried it because I didn’t believe it at first. When the roulades are ready, thicken the sauce with a little thickener and serve with pasta or potatoes.
