Beef Steak with Asparagus

The perfect beef steak with asparagus recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 500 g Asparagus
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 2 South American beef steaks from the hip 400 g (Here: From Aldi Nord)
  • 4 tbsp Oil
  • Coarse sea salt from the mill
  • Colorful pepper from the mill
  • 2 tbsp Chive rolls
  1. Peel the asparagus, cook in salted water (1 teaspoon) with sugar (1 teaspoon), lemon juice (1 teaspoon) and butter (1 teaspoon) for about 7–8 minutes, remove and keep warm until serving. The beef steaks must be well thawed, carefully dab with kitchen paper and fry for 4 – 5 minutes on both sides in the hot oil (tip: I used an IKEA splash guard!). Arrange the beef steaks and asparagus on two plates. Drizzle the asparagus with the gravy, season everything vigorously with coarse sea salt from the mill and colored pepper from the mill. Serve garnished / sprinkled with chives.
