Beef Fillet Steak with Mushrooms

Ingredients
 

  • 400 g Beef fillet
  • Salt pepper
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 250 g Fresh brown mushrooms
  • 1 Fresh onion
  • Caraway seeds
  • 25 g Butter
  • 12 Croquettes
  • 0,5 Tomato
  • 6 slices Red pointed peppers
  • Parsely
  • 0,5 cup Dry red wine

Instructions
 

  • Cut approx. 3.5 cm thick slices from the fillet. Rinse and dry.
  • Sear the meat slices for approx. 2 minutes in a hot pan with a little oil on both sides, then season well with salt and coarsely ground pepper. Then remove from the pan and finish cooking in the oven at 120 ° C on the middle rack for approx. 15 minutes.
  • Pour red wine and half a cup of vegetable stock into the meat stock, simmer gently and reduce if necessary. Thicken with the ice-cold butter (if necessary).
  • Quarter the mushrooms and fry them in a little butter with the finely chopped onion. Season with caraway seeds, salt and pepper.
  • Bake the croquettes (frozen or made from leftovers from the mashed potatoes) in the oven until golden brown.
  • Steam the tomato and pepper slices in a small pan. Is only used for decoration.
