Ingredients for 5 servings:
- 1 kg beef, e.g. roulades
- 2 large onions, diced
- 400 g mushrooms, sliced
- 1 jar beetroot, sliced
- 200 g cream
- 2 tbsp mustard
- salt and pepper
- Oil or clarified butter
- e.g. beef broth, from instant powder
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes
Cut the meat into approximately 1 cm wide strips. Sauté the onions in a little fat, add the meat and brown, then add the mushrooms and continue to cook until the mushrooms are cooked through. Pour in the beef broth until everything is half covered and simmer until the meat is tender. The time depends on the type of meat chosen. Cut the beetroot into wide strips and add to the meat. If desired, add a little more of the liquid and heat through. Stir in the cream and mustard, bring back to a boil briefly, and season with salt and pepper.
