delicious and easy

First, bring the syrup ingredients to a boil in a small saucepan and then chill. For the filling, roughly chop the walnuts and mix with the sugar. Combine the dough ingredients in the order listed and knead into a dough. (Once the dough no longer sticks to the dough, stop adding flour.) Shape the dough into walnut-sized pieces (makes about 16 pieces). Make a hollow in the center with your thumb and add some of the filling. Roll the balls up and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 15-25 minutes. Dip the hot balls into the cold syrup for 3-4 seconds and then remove. Sprinkle with cinnamon, if desired.
