Beer – Garlic – Chicken

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 chicken, approx. 1400 g
  • ½ liter of beer
  • 10 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp sour cream
  • Paprika powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Wash the chicken and dry it inside and out. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika inside and out. Briefly sear the chicken on all sides in a little oil. Line the bottom of a roasting pan tightly with the whole garlic cloves and place the chicken on top. Pour the beer into the roasting pan. Bake the whole thing in the oven at 175°C for 75 minutes. Baste the bird occasionally with the beer and turn it halfway through cooking until it is nicely browned on all sides. Season the stock with salt and pepper and add a little sour cream or something similar. This dish goes best with boiled potatoes and apple-flavored red cabbage.
