Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 500 ml buttermilk, lukewarm
- 400 g spelt flour, type 630
- 250 g wholemeal spelt flour
- 1 bag(s) of dry yeast
- 2 tsp bread spice mix
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp beet syrup
- 1 medium-sized carrot(s), coarsely grated, approx. 150 g
- 100 g walnuts

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 2 hours 35 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 55 minutes
Buttermilk spelt bread with carrots and walnuts
Add all ingredients, except for the walnuts and carrot, to the bread maker one at a time. Set the bread maker to regular or whole wheat, fast, large, and medium browning. After the beep, add the walnuts and grated carrots. If you like, you can chop the walnuts. The baking process takes about 2.5 hours and yields a loaf weighing approximately 1400 g.
