Beetroot Tartar

The perfect beetroot tartar recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 2 Boiled beetroot
  • 1 Apple Breaburn
  • 3 Anchovies
  • 2 tsp Mustard
  • 1 tbsp Chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 Shallot
  • 9 King prawns
  • 1 tsp Capers
  1. Cut the beetroot into fine cubes, finely chop the shallot, peel the apple, remove the core and also cut into fine cubes and put everything together in a bowl.
  2. Chop the capers, anchovies and parsley and add to the bowl
  3. Stir mustard, pepper, salt and a little sunflower oil until creamy and stir into the fine cubes and let it steep a little at room temperature.
  4. Fry the prawns briefly on both sides, arrange the tartare on plates and add the prawns and serve.
  5. It goes well with toasted baguette slices
