Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 slice(s) Leberkäse, fine, thin slices of cold cuts
  • 1 gherkin(s), sliced
  • 1 tbsp onion(s), finely chopped
  • ketchup
  • 1 slice(s) processed cheese (toast slices)
  • 2 slices of breakfast bacon, thinly sliced
  • Mustard
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 cup of cream
  • some wine, red
  • some tomato paste
  • some fat

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Place the Leberkäse slices slightly overlapping on the work surface. Spread with mustard and ketchup. Top with cucumber and onion, add a slice of toasted cheese, and roll the whole thing into a roulade. Wrap the roulade in the bacon and secure with toothpicks. Brown it in a pan with a little fat. Remove from the pan and stir together a sauce of pepper, salt, and tomato paste, a little red wine (for deglazing), and a dash of cream. Season to taste, add the roulade, and let it rest for a moment. Serve with mashed potatoes and a green salad.
